Happy Equinox
And International Peace Day

Peace
It seems it was later than I thought last night when I wrote this blessing to friends and family.....Please note my correction that it is the FALL EQUINOX....NOT SOLSTICE. Same message though.....please be kind and peacful to all sentient beings!

As this day falls into night, I want to send out a personal Solstice blessing to all. On this day, International Peace Day as declared by the United Nations It is my hope that you have balance and tranquility in your life today and everyday.

My day was full of Bliss with gentle waves at our 'Local Surf Spot' followed by catering for a 'Gather the Women' Retreat. The menu was fresh with abundance from our farm including:
* Patty pan squash, bean and chantrelle mushroom sauté
* Bodacious Beet salad topped with pralined pecans
* Yam Millet Patties with Roasted Red Pepper Sauce
The Garden fresh greens were laces with a Cranberry Vinegarette and the meal was topped with a fruit crisp of our Rhubarb, Okanagan Peaches and Apples with Maple Whip Cream.

What a blessing to be of service in this way!

"Peace is one of humanity's most precious needs. It is also the UN's highest calling. On the International Day of Peace, let us promise to make peace not just a priority, but a passion. Let us pledge to do more, wherever we are in whatever way we can, to make every day a day of peace."

Ban Ki-moon, The United Nations Secretary General
